Define 
    Formative Assessment > assessments that occur during instructional time. 
    Summative Assessment > assessments at the end of the lesson. 
    Rubric > explicit evaluative tool used for scoring or grading

Differentiate between formative and summative assessments and explain when each is appropriate.
    Formative Assessment > assessments that occur during instructional time. Purpose: monitor l   learning, provide feedback, and guide instruction. 
    Summative Assessment > assessments at the end of the lesson. Purpose: evaluate learning outcomes, assign grades, and assess proficiency. 

Critique an existing rubric for alignment, clarity, and usability.

Content

Excellent analysis of the topic with strong, relevant evidence and explanations.

Good analysis with relevant evidence; some parts need more explanation.

Basic analysis with minimal evidence and unclear connections.

Insufficient analysis; little to no evidence provided.

Organization

Clear, logical flow with a strong introduction, body, and conclusion.

Logical flow, but minor transitions could be improved.

Presentation is somewhat scattered; transitions are unclear.

Lacks logical structure; difficult to follow.





Grammar & Language Use

Uses correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Vocabulary is rich and varied.

Minor errors in grammar, spelling, or punctuation. Vocabulary is appropriate.

Noticeable errors in grammar, spelling, or punctuation, and vocabulary are limited or repetitive.

Frequent errors in grammar, spelling, or punctuation. Vocabulary is very basic or inappropriate.




> Rubric design is good because if you create it well, then it will be easy to read and understand what you are looking for in students' work. Also, it will be easy for students to understand what needs to be done.
